Construction work on the Mur power plant in Graz is just entering its final phase. In addition to the construction of the weir and the power plant, the mega-project will also fundamentally change the riverbank areas in the centre of Graz. Thanks to the raised water level and the design of attractive riverside promenades, the previously hardly used riverbank areas in the city centre will soon appear in a completely new light – not least with the help of the practical lighting mast foundations from TIBA.
Around 500 light masts will be installed this autumn along the promenade from the Radetzky Bridge in the city centre to the power plant site in the southern part of the provincial capital – and in the simplest way imaginable, as PORR construction manager Christian Kirchsteiger explains: “The installation of the TIBA light mast foundations could not be easier . We only have to dig a pit, place the foundations and backfill the whole thing. All the cabling arrangements have already been made. A really practical and well thought-out product!”
