Construction industry met again at the Baukongress 2022

The Building Congress finally celebrated its big comeback last week after a break due to the Coronavirus Pandemic: Kirchdorfer Concrete Solutions was “right in the middle” of the action, so to speak, with innovations made of (and for) concrete.

After a two-year break, over 2,000 registered participants finally breathed life back into the “Baukongress 2022” (Building Congress) at the Austria Center Vienna: a fully booked “BE UP TO DATE” congress evening and a sold-out exhibition impressively demonstrated that the come-together of the Austrian construction industry was long overdue. And in the middle of it all? Kirchdorf Concrete Solutions, quasi “prominently” placed at stand no. 25 in the midst of the hustle and bustle.

The top topic this year: sustainability in construction – the special highlight was the session of the same name, which not only showed what all those involved in construction have done in recent years to become climate-neutral, but also what they still intend to implement in order to achieve the declared goal – climate neutrality by 2040. In addition to sustainability, the topic of digitalisation continues to be “red hot”: lean construction, construction robotics and many other topics also occupied the industry gathered at the Construction Congress this year. Fitting for this? The presentation by our R&D Manager Alexander Barnaš on KUDIS, the cartographically supported documentation and information system that brings the precast concrete industry one step closer to the “Internet of Things” (IOT) by means of an app.

Finally, we would like to thank everyone who stopped by our KCS stand: Great conversations and great memories were made and we are already looking forward to seeing you again at the next Baukongress in 2024!
