Projects

Boßler Tunnel

Some 9,000 precast segment rings have been produced for the tunnel lining of the two tubes of the 8.8 km Boßler Tunnel through southern Germany’s „Schwäbische Alp”. It is part of the „Magistrale for Europe”, a Trans-European Transport Network project for the creation of a high-speed railway line between Paris and Budapest, an important east/west connection.

Koralm Tunnel

With a reduction of travel time from Graz to Klagenfurt from 3 hours down to just 45 minutes, the Koralm Railway will close one of the most important gaps in Austria’s rail infrastructure. At its core, Koralm Tunnel with 32.9 kilometres will be Austria’s longest railway tunnel. It is constructed using a mix of different tunnelling methods, given the geologically highly challenging environment.

Wienerwald Tunnel

In a temporary production facility at the portal of the 13.56 kilometre long Wienerwald Tunnel, more than 57,000 precast concrete tunnel segments have been produced. In a 4,800 sqm production hall, more than 500 cubic metres of concrete and 25 tons of reinforcement steel have been processed daily in a two-shift operation, which has later been transformed into a slab track production facility.

Brenner Base Tunnel – Tulfes Pfons Section

The joint Austrian and Italian tunnel project will create the world’s longest subterranean railway connection. The 64 km Tunnel System is planned for completion in 2026. For a 15 km exploratory and drainage tunnel between Tulfes and Pfons, floor elements and cover plates have been produced.
