In his laudation, Governor Hermann Schützenhöfer emphasised: “The company is always at the cutting edge of technology and, as one of the largest employers, is also an essential economic factor for the region.” The Governor paid great tribute to both the management and the entire team. “The outstanding work, the spirit of innovation, the sustainable work and the exemplary employee culture were emphasised by Schützenhöfer before the certificate entitling the company to bear the Styrian coat of arms was presented.

The coat of arms symbolises the combination of tradition and innovation. Strict criteria for the awarding of the coat of arms ensure the high quality of the companies. The Styrian full-service provider is regarded as a valuable and reliable figurehead of Styrian trade. Only recently, Kammel broke ground for the most modern and environmentally friendly mixing plant in Styria.

In his ceremonial speech on 9 October, KAMMEL Managing Director Franz Strobl thanked above all the loyal and strong team: “We owe it all to our regional ties, innovative achievements and a sustainable strategy for the future – and more than 150 hard-working, loyal and committed employees. This certificate is a significant vote of confidence from the Province of Styria, which encourages us to continue on our chosen path.”

KAMMEL: A SUCCESS STORY

KAMMEL’s success story began in 1967, when the former concrete plant was still producing formwork and hollow blocks. Already in 1991, the ready-mixed concrete production and the connected building material trade were complemented by the well-known “KAMMEL prefabricated cellar”. With the larger range of prefabricated elements, a more modern production plant for large-scale wall & ceiling elements as well as prefabricated cellars was required in 2001. “Simply easier to build” – with this philosophy always in mind, Kammel continues to provide its customers with the complete package from planning to execution.
